Subject: [KCIX-Members] oak1 - grand1 connection

The link between the OAK1 and GRAND1 switches has been built.  Thanks  
to Kevin Hodle for his work on getting the link live and to 1and1  
Internet for donating the transport between 324 E. 11th St. and 1102  
Grand.

Over the next week we will be reconfiguring the equipment at 1102.  
Peers at that location will start to see routes from OAK1 and OAK2  
peers ramping up through the end of the month.

Special thanks is also due to Darrin Bonawitz with 1102 Grand for  
thier commitment to open peering by reafirming thier donation of space  
and power for the exchange fabric in the 6th floor meet-me room.

Without these donations of essential services from our members KCIX  
could not exist. Thanks again to Darrin @ 1102 and Kevin @ 1and1!

lot of contact with KCNAP for awhile so we are unsure of thier  
intended direction and this is the first notice we received of this  
meeting.

If you, as the membership, have feelings on this cooperative path feel  
free to discuss it on the mailing list so the other members can  
respond to your thoughts as well.
